Where I was?
My first programming project was a very simple C++ program .
At that time, I had just started learning programming in college. I was learning C++ from LearnCPP
and was still trying to understand how programming actually worked.
I didn't really have any big project idea. I was mostly just experimenting with whatever I had learned.
The idea!
One day I thought, what if I make a program that asks someone some questions on black screen like hackers use in fiction movies ๐ about things like "Do you smoke? Do you drink?" and then I use thier answers to give them a very basic estimated lifespan they gonna live,So I made it.
The program wasn't scientifically accurate or anything like that. It was just a small experiment I made to practice programming.
It would ask the user some questions, take their answers, do some calculations, and then show the result.
Why it mattered?
I remember being genuinely excited about it because I had written something where the computer was actually taking input from me processing it, and giving me an output based on my code.
Before that, programming was mostly just things I was learning from tutorials and documentation.
This was different.
I had an idea in my head and actually turned it into a working program.
Looking back, it was a really stupid and simple project.
But I think that's what made it important to me.
It was one of the first times I realized that I could think of something and then use code to actually make it happen.
After that, I started making more small programs and experimenting with whatever I was learning.
I wasn't building anything impressive.
I was just curious about what I could make . ๐
